Driver's Education

Attention Driver’s Ed Parents and Students:

Below you will find a links to see your assigned driving time and class session for this summer’s Driver’s Education that will meet in the AHS Library.  Please let me know ASAP if there is a conflict with your assigned time.  I cannot guarantee every request to change will be switched, but will do my best to accommodate everyone’s busy schedule.

The following are important items that you need to be aware of:

  • Class Session I - Wednesday, May 23, 24, 29-31 from 8:00-11:00 a.m.

Class Session II – Monday, June 4-8 from 8:00-11:00 a.m.

  • Students will take a test over the Kansas Driving Handbook on the first day of class! Be sure your child is reading through and studying the handbook prior to the first day. You can download a free copy on the AHS Driver’s Ed website or on the KDOR website
  • Students must be on time to their assigned session and attend EVERY DAY!
  • Students need to bring a pen/pencil and a notebook to class
  • If you haven’t already, please begin driving with your teenager in different environments
  • The driving schedule that lists when your teenager will drive with an instructor will be posted mid-May on the AHS Driver’s Ed website.

Again, please make sure you are working with your teenager on correct driving habits to ensure they will be confident and relaxed when Driver’s Education begins this summer.  If you have any questions, please contact me by email: or by phone: 316-444-2607.
