I am so excited to begin my sixth year as an agriculture teacher here in the Renwick School District. The community support and the area’s rich heritage in agriculture makes this job a dream! I grew up on a small farm in Northwest Arkansas where my family raised registered Hereford cattle and commerical broilers. Growing up I was involved in 4-H and, once I got into high school-FFA. While in high school I competed on the FFA livestock judging team that resulted in me being recruited to attend NEO in Miami, OK. From there, I ventured up to K-State where I majored in Animal Science while also competing on the livestock judging team. During my senior year in animal science I had a change of heart as far as careers were concerned and decided that I needed to give back to the programs that gave so much to me growing up. I then started to pursue a Master’s in Agricultural Education. I am excited to be following my passion and educating students about agriculture and FFA.
